Recipe For Beef Fajitas With Guacamole

Enjoy some old school Tex-Mex with Hello Chef

Serves 2 


Ingredients for beef and vegetables 

  • beef strips 350g
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 orange bell pepper
  • olive oil 1 tablespoon
  • 1 garlic clove
  • cumin powder 2g
  • coriander powder 2g
  • smoked paprika powder 2g
  • chilli powder 1g
  • salt ½ teaspoon
  • black pepper ½ teaspoon


Ingredients for salad, salsa and guacamole

  • iceberg lettuce 1 piece
  • cheddar cheese 50g
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 red onion
  • fresh coriander 15g
  • 2 limes
  • salt 1/2 teaspoon
  • black pepper ½ teaspoon
  • 1 avocado 


Ingredients to serve

  • tortilla wraps 4 pieces
  • sour cream 100g



  1. Preheat the oven to 100°C. Wash and shred lettuce. Mix it in a bowl with grated cheese.
  2. Prepare the salsa: dice tomatoes and half of the onion, and mix with chopped coriander and half of the lime juice. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Halve and de-stone avocado, and scrape the flesh into a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Add the rest of the lime juice and set aside.
  4. Place beef strips in a small bowl. Thinly slice the onion and peppers and transfer to another bowl. Drizzle oil into both bowls and season evenly with minced garlic, cumin, coriander, smoked paprika and chilli.
  5. Wrap tortillas in foil and warm up in the oven. Then heat two large frying pans over high heat. Add oil to one, and fry the beef for 4–5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and allow to rest.
  6. In the other pan, fry the peppers and onions in oil for 7–8 minutes stirring continuously, until softened a bit and caramelised on the edges. Serve all the toppings separately. Don’t forget the sour cream!
