Green Vegan Pizza Recipe

Make Hello Chef's pizza with cauliflower crust

Serves 2


Cauliflower crust

  • chia seeds 15g
  • water 75ml
  • cauliflower 500g 
  • almond flour 40g
  • salt ¾ teaspoon
  • black pepper ¼ teaspoon



  • zucchini large 2 pieces
  • olive oil 2 tablespoons
  • salt 1 teaspoon
  • black pepper ¼ teaspoon
  • tomato paste 120g
  • dried oregano 2g
  • vegan mozzarella 120g
  • baby spinach 30g



  1. Combine chia seeds and water in a bowl. Set aside for 15 minutes so that the mixture becomes thick.
  2. Meanwhile, separate cauliflower into florets. In 3-4 batches, pulse florets into small crumbles in a food processor. It’s important to work in batches so that the end result is crumbly and not mushy. If you don’t have a food processor, grate the cauliflower with a box grater. In a bowl, combine the crumbles with chia seeds mixture, almond flour, salt and black pepper.
  3. Preheat oven to 200°C. With oiled hands, spread the crust mixture into a thin even layer on an oven tin lined with baking paper. Bake for about 20 minutes until nicely browned.
  4. Meanwhile, cut zucchini into thin slices. Heat oil in a pan over high heat and fry zucchini slices on both sides until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Take the pre-baked cauliflower crust from the oven. Spread tomato paste evenly on top. Sprinkle with dried oregano and vegan mozzarella. Arrange the fried zucchini slices on top. Continue baking in the oven for 5-10 minutes. Top with fresh baby spinach leaves, and serve.
