Learn the importance of early detection to save lives

Nov 1 - Nov 1 06:30

Start your morning bright and early by the beach learning about breast cancer at Dubai Pink Ride. This event welcomes people ages 15 years and older to understand the importance of early detection and regular screening to catch cancer in its earlier stages. Sign up to pedal for a good cause with options for a 13.5km bikes route and 32.5km motor bikes route.

Breast cancer is recognised as the leading kind of cancer in women worldwide and, according to a World Health Organisation World Cancer Report, there were 568 incidents of breast cancer in the United Arab Emirates in 2012. As technology advances, people have higher chances of detecting and curing the disease, increasing the survival rate to 92%. This event serves to shed light on the life-saving value of regular check-ups and adopting better health habits during the Dubai Fitness Challenge.
