Dubai Ride presented by DP World

The fifth edition of the hugely popular Dubai Ride, presented by DP World, returned for a record-breaking run on Sunday 10 November, as thousands pedalled towards a fitter future in a sea of purple DP World shirts.

Transforming Sheikh Zayed Road into a giant cycling track for the morning, the city was united under the shared goals of health and wellness. Cyclists completed either the family-friendly 4km leisurely ride along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, or the tougher 12km course, passing by the Burj Khalifa, Museum of the Future, and Dubai Water Canal.

The flagship Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) fixture saw a record turnout of 37,130 participants, with the excitement palpable among both the amateur and seasoned cyclists as they took in some of Dubai's iconic landmarks from the saddle.

Revving up the excitement and setting the pace at the start, Dubai Police supercars led the start of Dubai Ride alongside a fleet of talabat riders. Music played throughout from DJs, curated by UNTOLD Dubai, while the beloved Modesh World characters Modesh and Dana joined in on the fun on the Downtown route, bringing their infectious joy to the festivities.

And the surprises didn’t stop there! In a remarkable display of unity, one of the world’s best professional triathletes, American Taylor Spivey, silver medalist in triathlon at the Paris 2024 Olympics and Safia Al Sayegh, who represented the UAE in the Paris Olympics in road cycling, joined the wider community on the 12km course to show their shared passion for fitness.

If your bike needs repairing, you can visit any Decathlon store in Dubai and they will fix it for free for anyone registered for Dubai Ride.
