FUN WAYS TO GET THE FAMILY ACTIVE

We've scoured the city and found the top five ways to make 30 minutes of daily exercise fun for the whole family. Whether you're a nature lover, ice skater or an adrenaline junkie, we have something to get everyone in the Dubai Fitness Challenge spirit.

Tree surfing at Aventura Park

Reopened for the winter, this adventure zone at Mushrif Park features over 80 thrilling challenges for all ages. It stands out for its location in the midst of a Ghaf tree forest, with activities taking place both off the ground and between trees. Feeling brave? Scale climbing walls and take a leap of faith from the 25m Tarzan jump, while your little monkeys climb ropes and zip-line through the treetops. The park’s activities here are all interconnected and grouped around varying heights, so there are hours of fitness fun to be had for children and adults alike.

Jump around at Bounce Dubai

If you’re looking for workouts that the whole family will love, book a play date at Bounce. The indoor trampoline park has its own X-Park obstacle course, which combines parkour moves with CrossFit for an unconventional workout for kids and adults. If that seems too intense, perfect signature air moves while bouncing around the free jumping space. It’s remarkably effective – just 30 minutes on a trampoline can burn around 200 calories.

Located inside the iconic Dubai Mall, surprise the family by taking them ice-skating in the middle of the desert. It doesn’t matter how young or old the kids are, there’s something for every age and ability at this Olympic-sized rink. If you find yourself in the dancing spirit, book your time for the special Disco Sessions where you can boogie on ice to everything from R&B, hip hop, dance hall, dubstep, Arabic and world music. Who said exercise needs to be boring?
